Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The Azerenerji joint-stock company produced over 8.5bln KW per hour of electric energy between January and April, 2007. The amount of energy produced by the company between January and April, 2006 was 9bln KW per hour.
Some 7.7bln KW per hour was produced by thermoelectric power stations and 0.8bln KW per hour by hydroelectric power stations.
Energy flow from foreign countries occurred in April. As a result, 4.6mln KW per hour was supplied from Russia, 5.9mln KW per hour from Iran, and 6.9mln KW per hour from Georgia. During April, 2006 some 42,545,000 KW per hour were imported from Russia, 46.9mln KW from Iran, and 25,817,000 KW per hour from Turkey.
