Revenues of Azerbaijan’s customs committee increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 11

Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred 333.7 million manat ($196.2 million) to the state budget in January 2020, which is 1.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to data provided by SCC.

During this period, customs duties amounted to 84.3 million manat ($49.6 million), or 25.3 percent of all revenues, VAT – 235.9 million manat ($138.7 million), or 70.7 percent, excise taxes – 9.7 million manat ($5.7 million), or 2.9 percent, road tax – 3.2 million manat ($1.9 million), or 1.1 percent.

Revenues from the customs duties increased by 10.3 percent, from VAT by 1.2 percent, from road tax by 15.4 percent, and from excise taxes decreased by 42.6 percent in January 2020 compared to the same period last year.

State budget revenues from SCC are formed in four directions - customs duties, value added tax (VAT), excise tax and road tax.
