BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. Saneg (Uzbekistan's largest private oil and gas company) plans to sell more than 10,000 tons of commodity oils in the Uzbek market and take a share of 8 percent in 2024, a source from the company told Trend.

“Saneg developed a base oil quality program at Fergana Oil Refinery. Early in the procedure, the basic oils hydrotreating column catalyst was replaced. This device deeply purifies oil chases from sulfur, nitrogen, aromatic hydrocarbons, and resinous asphaltene, which reduce oil oxidation stability, corrosion, and color,” the source said.

According to the source, the strategic goal of the company is the transition from the production and sale of base oils to the production and sale of commodity goods - motor, transmission, and various types of industrial oils.

"The company's Italian asset, Saneg Oil Italy, will produce and sell an additional 11,000 tons of commercial oils in the European Union's markets," the source said.

Meanwhile, Fergana Oil Refinery has launched a large-scale program to improve the quality of base oils produced. The program aims to modernize the atmospheric-vacuum column as well as repair production units that manufacture mineral base oils. The program's goal is to bring the oils' physical and chemical characteristics to the indicators that meet the highest European standards.
