Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 June / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ Azerbaijani Communications & IT Ministry reported on 10 June that in January to May it provided telephones to over 11,000 families.
The number of telephone numbers put into operation in the period totalled 11,246, with 9,374 numbers of Aztelekom PA and 1,874 of Baktelekom PA.
According to the governmental forecasts, number of telephone sets in Azerbaijan will grow to average 19.8 per every 100 people by 2011, while currently it is 15 per every 100 people.
