Azerbaijan's export of satellite services up

The revenues of the Azerbaijani Azercosmos from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $37.8 million from January through October 2020, which is 0.8 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the ‘Export Review’ of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of Azerbaijan (CAERC).

According to the center, Azercosmos's revenues from the export of services accounted for 90 percent of its total income.

In 10M2020, services were provided to 30 countries, including the UK, the US, France, Malaysia and the UAE.

In October 2020, Azercosmos exported $6.9 million worth of the services to 21 countries.

Azercosmos operates two communication satellites-Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, as well as Azersky low-orbit satellite. The company's revenue from the export of satellite and telecommunications services in 2019 amounted to $43.4 million, which is 70 percent more than in the same period of 2018.
