A new internet portal is being created by the Ministry of Communication and Informational Technologies. According to the Ministry, new portal would provide domestic and foreign consumers with information in the area of information communication technologies. Final procedures are being conducted now to complete the information collection and design of the portal.
Portal will be available in three languages - Azeri, Russian and English.
Azeri version is already ready, Russian and English versions are now in the process of completion, the Ministry said.
New portal will include information on the current state of condition of the communication and informational technologies in the country, services and history of IT development in the country.
It would also include special customer service section.
Links of private local companies, joint ventures and international organizations in the IT world would be posted in the portal, the Ministry stated.
Regarding the address of the portal, Ministry does not exclude the fact that existing www.mincom.gov.az would be replaced by the more simplified name in order to make it available for the wide range of users. We have plans to finish the portal off by the end of the second quarter of 2006 concluded the Ministry.
