BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Transit of goods through Iran increased by 31 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.
According to Latifi, a total of 4.92 million tons of goods were transited through Iran in 4 months.
The situation of transit through the Iran's top 10 customs is as follows:
- Shahid Rajaee customs of Hormozgan Province – 1.72 million tons (a 44.5-percent increase)
- Parvizkhan customs of Kermanshah Province – 582,000 tons (a 141-percent increase)
- Bashmak customs of Kurdistan Province – 448,000 tons (a 30-percent decrease)
- Bazargan customs of West Azerbaijan Province – 410,000 tons (a 9-percent increase)
- Sarakhs customs of Razavi Khorasan Province – 332,000 tons (a 40-percent decrease)
- Bilasuvar customs of Ardabil Province – 245,000 tons (an 88-percent increase)
- Jolfa customs of East Azerbaijan Province – 217,000 tons (a 61-percent increase)
- Lotfabad customs of Razavi Khorasan Province – 150,000 tons (a 115-percent increase)
- Bandar Lengeh customs of Hormozgan Province – 137,000 tons (a 124-percent increase)
- Mirjaveh customs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province – 107,000 tons (a 174-percent increase)
