AzerNews weekly, Azerbaijan's first English language newspaper, published since 1997, has launched an application for Ipad tablet computers. A free-of-charge version of the software is available at the App Store online.
With the new application, readers will gain more convenient access to the latest news, articles, interviews and photos of the best quality. Having installed the software, a user will be able to easily and swiftly save the news and access them without an Internet connection, to e-mail preferred articles and share them over such social networking websites as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
The interface of the application has easy-to-use navigation and covers the following sections: Azerbaijan, Business, Oil & Gas, Region, Analysis, Culture, and Sports. The structure of the state-of-the-art software will allow users to save time while looking for various articles.
"AzerNews would like to be closer to the readers," says public relations director Elina Shikhmagomedova. "We are the first newspaper in Azerbaijan to launch its own Ipad application. We plan to expand our presence in the information space, cooperating with the world's leading brands."
AzerNews is the only weekly newspaper in Azerbaijan whose PDF copy can be printed by readers from around the world by subscribing through Vancouver-based NewspaperDirect's web site.
