Kazakhstan car dealers tripled car exports

Some 33, 958 new cars were sold by official dealers of Kazakhstan for a total amount of 292 billion tenge, excluding exports, the Kazakhstan Automobile Business Association (AKAB) said in a statement.

The volume of exports amounted to 1,384 cars worth 7.38 billion tenge, which indicates a three-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, in October, Kazakhs registered almost 100,000 cars in the traffic police department.

From January to October in Kazakhstan, 849,046 units of cars were registered in the administrative police department, which is 18% more than in the same period last year.

Of these, 793,444 cars were re-registered (replaced owners). The number of cars initially registered was 55,602 units, which is 4% more than in the same period last year.

In January-June of 2017, eight active companies producing motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers increased their output by 20.1% compared to a year ago.

The cost of the output of the car industry is estimated at 64.5 billion tenge - this is almost 3 times more than the volume for January-June 2016.

The official exchange rate for November 3 is 335.15 KZT / USD.
