Multilateral coop between Kazakhstan, India be expanded: meeting in Delhi

(Kazinform) Kazakh Ambassador to India Kairat Umarov gave a lecture Geopolicy in Central Asia and role of leading powers in the National Defence Academy of India that represents one of the best institutes on advanced training of the Armed Forces key personnel and employees of public administration; Kazinform refers to press service of Kazakh MFA.

Making a speech Kazakh diplomat touched upon such questions as geostrategic importance of Central Asia, regional security and foreign policy priorities of Kazakhstan. Besides he noted integration initiatives of the country, told about joint efforts of CICMA, SCO and CSTO in struggle against new challenges, terrorism, extremism and narcotic traffic, reports Trend.

The participants of the measure were acquainted with achievements of Kazakhstan in political formation and development of democratic institutions, economical progress and main provisions of Kazakh Presidents message Strategy on Kazakhstans entry into the 50 most competitive countries of the world.

Initiative of the state on holding Congress of World and Traditional Religions Leaders, in which Indian representatives will take part as well, was emphasized as one of efficient mechanisms of establishment of dialogue between confessions and promotion of inter-religious tolerance.

Within the framework of the conference there was stressed that multilateral cooperation between India and Kazakhstan, leaders of Central and South Asian regions, should expand.
