The UAE is interested in participating in the construction of the Kambarata-1 hydroelectric power plant, Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said following a joint meeting with the Ata-Jurt Party and Mekenchil parliamentary group, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.

Zhaparov also noted that the UAE is interested in participating in the construction of the Chatkal hydroelectric power plant, where the two stations are planned to be built.

The Kambarata-1 project has already gained interest from five countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, which signed a roadmap for joint implementation of the project in early 2023.
