ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 30. As part of the United Nations World Tourism Day celebrations, a Turkmen delegation visited Georgia for the annual international meeting, Trend reports via the Turkmen Embassy in Georgia.
The delegation was led by the head of the tourism department at the Ministry of Culture.
This year's discussions focused on the theme "Tourism and Peace." The event featured high-ranking guests, tourism ministers, and experts from various countries.
The forum included speeches from the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili.
Participants discussed global trends in the tourism sector and emphasized the importance of peace for the industry's future growth. Experts noted that tourism could serve as a significant catalyst for strengthening peace and understanding among nations and cultures, as well as supporting reconciliation processes.
