Belarus eyes increasing cotton yarn supply from Uzbekistan

Bellegprom, the Belarusian state concern for the production and sale of light industry goods, and Uzbekistan discussed the issues of increasing the volume of supplies of cotton yarn from Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to information and trade portal www.etextile.uz.

A videoconferencing was organized on February 12, 2021, with the Bellegprom Concern, headed by Deputy Chairman Vadim Vladimirovich Lamkov in order to discuss further prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus.

The meeting was attended by representatives of sectoral management bodies, as well as more than 30 representatives of Uzbek and Belarusian companies.

The parties discussed the issues of expanding cooperation and interaction between the Association and the Concern, summed up the results of 2020.

Also, the implementation of the roadmap for 2021-2022 on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding and expanding cooperation between enterprises of the textile and garment knitwear industry of Uzbekistan and Belarus was discussed.

In addition, the issues of the visit of the delegation of the Concern Bellegprom headed by Chairperson Lugina Tatyana Alekseevna in April this year were discussed.

Following the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Bellegprom Concern Vadim Lamkom highlighted the high level of interaction between organizations and the interest in its further development.
