BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 8. The gold reserves of Uzbekistan’s Central Bank amounted to $22.8 billion, as of March 1, 2023, Trend reports with reference to the report of Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU).

The report says that the value of gold reserves decreased by 3.04, compared to the figure for February 1, 2023 ($23.5 billion).

As of the beginning of March, the volume of gold reserves of Uzbekistan amounted to 12.6 million troy ounces – an increase of 1.6 percent, compared to the reporting period last month (12.4 million troy ounces).

As of March 1, Uzbekistan's official international reserves amounted to $33.96 billion, which is a decrease of 5.4 percent compared to the previous month ($35.9 billion).

Furthermore, World Gold Council (WGC) notes that the Central Bank of Uzbekistan ranked first in gold sales in January 2023, selling 12 tons of precious metal.
