TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 14. Uzbekistan's Navoiyazot industrial plant launches production of polymeric ferric sulfate, Trend reports.

The chemical product was imported from European countries and China until now.

About 350 tons of products for the needs of the enterprise were purchased abroad in 2022. The expenses amounted to 3.8 billion soums ($307,809).

When producing this high quality and highly effective coagulant in Navoiyazot, the expenditures amounted to 420 million soums ($34,021). As a result, imported products were localized and 3.4 billion soums ($275,408) were saved.

According to the press service of the enterprise, laboratory tests have been conducted at the moment. It is planned to manufacture the first products on the basis of Navoiyazot production shop. The final conclusion will be issued on the results of analysis of the finished sample.

In the future it is planned to supply polymeric ferric sulfate to large industrial enterprises of the region.

Meanwhile, Navoiyazot industrial plant is set to increase capacity through the commissioning new production facilities in 2024.

As per data by Navoiyazot, modern equipment worth $15 million is being installed in the technological complex. With the commissioning of the enterprise, created jointly with the Polish company, 150 new jobs will be created.
