Eleven members of the Iranian parliament appealed to Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani to discuss an appeal against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Mahmoud Bahmani and some top officials, Mehr News Agency reported.
They urged the parliament to put to motion the issue to submit it further to the judiciary system.
The case can be submitted to the judiciary system if it gains 50 percent of pros at the parliament.
Iranian MPs' appeal is related to the recent $2.8 billion fraud scandal in Bank Saderat, which was described as Iran's biggest case of embezzlement ever.
Two weeks earlier, 22 suspects were arrested over the corruption case of Bank Saderat, one of Iran's major banks.
Last week, member of the parliament Mousarza Sarvati said that the parliament started discussing an issue of taking a decision to impeach Minister of Economy and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini.
The Economy Ministry along with Iranian Bank Saderat, Bank Melli and Tat Bank were involved in the financial scandal, he added.
On Sept. 28, the Parliament discussed a report on forth appeal of the parliamentary Article 90 Commission's representatives against Ahmadinejad.
