As a result of special operation on Iran-Iraq border carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Security Forces, a firefight occurred with members of a terrorist group, IRGC commander for Kurdistan province, Mohammad Hasan Rajabi said, MEHR news agency reported.
According to Rajabi, the firefighting occurred on Friday night near the Bane city.
"As a result of the firefighting, three terrorists were killed and two were injured," Rajabi said.
One terrorist who escaped during the firefighting was detained on Saturday, Rajabi said.
Earlier, six employees of IRGC were killed by terrorists in Bane city, after which security measures in the region were strengthened.
