Iran’s South Pars Platform 19 C has come on stream, facilitating the production of 500 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The platform is the first of the new projects that are being carried out at South Pars, aaccording to Hamid Reza Masoudi, director of Phase 19 Development Project, IRIB news agency reported July 4.
Right now one well of the platform is on stream as the rest of the wells will gradually join it, he stated.
Through the platform, a daily supply of 14 million cubic feet will go into the cross-country distribution network, the official said.
He further said that Platform 19 A is currently being shipped to its installation site in the Persian Gulf, adding that once operational, that platform will also give an output of 500 million cubic feet per day.
The first offshore platform of South Pars Phase 19 gas field was installed in November.
The phase 19 of the South Pars gas field is aimed to produce 50 million cubic meters of gas, 77000 barrels of condensate, 400 tons of sulfur, and 1.1 million tons of LNG per day for export, and one million ton of ethane to feed domestic petrochemical units.
