CO2 and CO3 emissions have almost dropped to zero at the sixth, seventh and eighth phases of the South Pars Gas Complex in southern Iran, Said Ibrahimi, director of the department for ecological affairs of the fourth processing plant of the South Pars Gas Complex, said.
According to the environmental assessment, sixth and eighth phases have always been at the center of attention, Ibrahimi added, Trend reports referring to Tasnim News Agency.
The fourth processing plant of the South Pars Gas Complex produces 104 million cubic meters of sour and dry gas, 138,000 barrels of gas condensate, 3,000 tons of propane and 2,000 tons of butane daily.
South Pars is a joint gas field between Iran and Qatar.
