In last Iranian year, the first destination for Iranian knowledge-based products was Iraq, and Russia, Afghanistan, Syria, and Turkey were the other export destinations, the top official at Iran`s vice presidential office for science and technology said.
"The export statistics of knowledge-based products in the past Iranian year were not in good condition due to the coronavirus pandemic,” a top official at Iran`s vice presidential office for science and technology, Rouhollah Estiri said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"The knowledge-based product exports were less than $ 700 million in 2020, which has decreased compared to 2019 due to the Coronavirus pandemic,” he noted.
Referring to the types of exported products, he referred to chemicals, drugs, polymer materials, and industrial machinery, whcich have respectively the most exported products in last Iranian year (ended on March 21).
"Most of the knowledge-based products were exported to Iraq amounted to $152 million," Estiri said.
