As long as there are no legitimate authorities in Armenia, countries like Russia will constantly try to govern it, or force it to join unions such as the Customs Union (CU).
Davit Sanasaryan, a member of the opposition Hello, Yerevan faction at the capital city Yerevan Council, told the aforementioned at Wednesday's protest march against Armenia's CU accession.
The march kicked off from Liberty Square, and the participants, holding anti-Putin signs, marched towards the Office of the President, where they will read their statement.
The participants stated that they decided to stage this march on September 3, 2014, that is, after exactly one year since President Serzh Sargsyan had announced Armenia's wish to join the Customs Union, which is an initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The march also aims to express support to Armenia's political prisoners who likewise are fighting against the Russian pressure, the news. am reporter informed.
