The Ministry of Environment of Georgia will discuss the issue of hazardous waste management.
First Deputy Minister of the Environment Nino Sharashidze and head of the UNDP programs Sopho Kemkhadze will open training on strengthening legislative options in the management of hazardous waste on Thursday.
The training is part of the Placement of persistent organic pollutants - pesticides and initial actions for their disposal in Georgia (UNDP / GEF).
The training will be attended by members of ministries of economy, agriculture, health, finance, Department of Emergency Management and other state agencies as well as international and local experts along with officials of the Ministry of Environment.
