Georgia shares export, import price indices

The import price index in Georgia in November 2021 increased by 1 percent, compared to October 2021, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The same figure also increased by 19.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2020, the report said.

According to Geostat, the import prices for manufactured products in the reporting period of 2021 increased by 16.6 percent, compared to November 2020.

The import prices for products from mining and quarrying in November 2021 increased by 45 percent, compared to the same period of 2020, the report said.

A significant import price decrease was recorded for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (35.7 percent) in the reporting period of 2021.

The import prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services in October 2021 increased by 7.4 percent, compared to the same period of 2020.

Meanwhile, the export price index in Georgia in November 2021 increased by 4.3 percent, compared to October 2021, and by 20.1 percent, compared to the reporting period of 2020.

According to the report, the increase in November 2021 was recorded in export prices for manufactured products (26.1 percent).

At the same time, the export prices for products from mining and quarrying in November 2021 decreased by 20.7 percent, while for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services – by 0.4 percent, the report said.
