Georgia’s Imereti Agro Zone (IAZ) has received 29 investment proposals from 10 countries for the Greenhouse Cluster Development Project, Trend reports, citing Georgian media.
According to the IAZ, has received 3 applications from investors in greenhouse construction, 9 applications - for participation in the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center, 14 applications - from the representatives of supporting businesses within the IAZ.
Furthermore, the IAZ has received one application each for the project co-financing, full project management, and the logistics center.
A request for proposals was announced from November 1 through December 31, 2021.
Earlier reports said the largest amount of investment proposals have been received from the Netherlands, which is mostly related to greenhouse constructions. The offers were also received from Israel, Italy, Germany, France, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and other countries.
Meanwhile, the negotiations with potential investors will take place in the upcoming months with subsequent contracts signing.
