Afghani President Hamid Karzai left for an official visit to Tokyo on Wednesday, a statement released by the Presidential Palace said, Xinhua reported.
During his four-day tour to Japan, President Karzai would meet the Japanese Emperor, the Japanese Prime Minister and other leaders to exchange views on matters pertaining mutual interests including enhancing bilateral relations between Japan and Afghanistan.
A high ranking delegation including Foreign Minister Zalmai Rasoul and Finance Minister Omar Zakhilwal is accompanying President Karzai on his tour to Japan.
