The first rescue worker arrived inside the Chilean mine late Tuesday, where 33 miners trapped for two months rushed to greet and hug him, according to video broadcast live from underground, dpa reported.
The arrival of Manuel Gonazlez proved that the untested method designed and built by the Chilean Navy will work in evacuating the men.
