Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that he appointed Anton Siluanov as Finance Minister. Earlier, he was acting Finance Minister.
Siluanov became acting minister after Medvedev dismissed Alexei Kudrin in September. Kudrin headed the Finance Ministry over 10 years. Earlier, Siluanov was Deputy Minister, RIA Novosti reported.
"I signed a decree to appoint you as Russian Finance Minister," President Medvedev said at a meeting with Siluanov today.
