(ForUm) - Kyiv hosted a sitting of the EU-Ukrainian Parliamentary Cooperation Committee's Bureau, which involved consideration of the EU-Ukrainian cooperation, Cabinet press office reported.

According to Co-Chairperson of the EU-Ukrainian Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Volodmyr Vechorko, the sitting saw discussion of interparliamentary cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. He also noted that the first workshop of the sitting was held in Kyiv, while the second circuit workshop of the sitting will be triggered in Donetsk, reports Trend.

In turn, Co-Chairperson of the EU-Ukrainian Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Marek Sivec stressed a necessity to visit Donetsk, as the European Integration project is the one to engulf entire Ukraine, but not some of its region. As far as we know, East Ukraine doesn't support Ukraine's EuroIntegration bid, which is why we should negotiate with its citizens on this issue, Marek Sivec noted.

The Committee for EU-Ukrainian parliamentary cooperation is the forum for exchange of opinions between the Ukrainian and European parliaments. The committee was created in accordance with the article 90 of an agreement on partnership and cooperation between Ukraine and EU, which became active on March 1, 1998. As many as eight meetings have been initiated since then.
