President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Turkmen officials to develop a new national program for social and economic development during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, reads a message from the country’s government.
Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of ensuring the stability of economy and investment activity in Turkmenistan, sustainability of the national currency, as well as increasing the exports and the reserve monetary fund.
He said the main goal in banking sector is to keep inflation at a level not exceeding the specified parameters and provide the economy with necessary funds by regulating the money supply and controlling its circulation.
Turkmenistan has embarked on a policy of gradual transition to the market economy, which is reflected in the country’s constitution.
A number of measures have been implemented in Turkmenistan, such as the denomination of the national currency and switching to international accounting standards.
