President Ahmadinejad receives Indiaˈs FM

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad received visiting Indiaˈs Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid here on Saturday afternoon, IRNA reported.

According to the Presidential Office Website, President Ahmadinejad told his Indian visitor the two countries have many historical and cultural commonalities, adding that the world today needs cultures of Iran and India.

In the current world situation, we have to insist on protection and strengthening of our mutual relations, said the president.

He called relations between Iran and India ˈfriendly with old historical backgroundˈ, adding that the two countries have always tried to create a humanitarian culture upon justice and friendship.

The president continued that international situations are changing rapidly in favor of nations and that the dominant ruling system in the world has reached a deadlock and equations of power in the world are turning toward justice, peace, and friendship.

He added that world governing economic system is transferring problems of capitalism into other nations, so many people are paying the price of mismanagement, which is not fair and should be changed in favor of nations.

President Ahmadinejad went on to say the bullying powers are to weaken Iran, India and any country that has the capacity of being globally strong, so they are imposing pressure against nations.

He stressed that Iran is pleased with Indiaˈs progress and authority, because we consider Indiaˈs progress as our own.

Referring to imposed economic and political pressures against Iran, Salman Khurshid said India is aware of goals and intentions of enemies in imposing such pressures against Iran and India is confident that these problems would not have any effect on Iran.

He evaluated work of joint economic commission positive and called for expansion of bilateral ties in different fields of communication, trade, agriculture, oil industry and handicrafts.
