Azerbaijan, Baku, March 31 / Trend M.Aliyev /

The Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported that the level of radiation throughout the country is normal.

The ministry's experts exclude the probability of the radioactive cloud from the Japanese nuclear plant Fukushima-1 penetrating Azerbaijan.

"The radiation impact does not threat Azerbaijan, as air flows from Japan move in the opposite direction toward America. Even if the situation changes, the clouds will pass over the taiga and the ocean and lose their radioactivity," the ministry said.

The ministry is monitoring to ensure the country's radiation safety. The results will be forwarded to the respective structures.

Based on the results last week, seasonal natural background radiation was identified in the country. The total β-radioactivity of atmospheric aerosols does not exceed the daily rate.
