Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / Russia kept the UN military observers out of the monitoring at a military base in the Agubedia village of the Ochamchirsk region, Irakliy Tzanava, a representative of the Abkhazia legitimate authorities in Zugdid, told to Georgian journalists on 17 June.
Russia has opened its military base in this village and brought tanks, howitzers and missile shields to this place, the Georgian government said, whilst the Russian Defence Ministry denied these reports.
"The decision on monitoring was taken at Georgia's insistence, but Russian military prevented it by not allowing the observers to enter the base," Tzanava said.
