The Georgian-American Business Council passed a special document to Senator John McCain for the special support of Georgia. The awards ceremony was held in the U.S. Senate, during which U.S. senators passed and other souvenirs related to Georgia.
At the awards ceremony was attended by Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Paata Davitaia, as well as representatives of Georgian Diaspora in the United States.
President of the Georgian-American Business Council Mamuka Tsereteli said the decision to give the award to McCain was made unanimously.
Senator expressed his support for Georgia and once again stressed that he personally was a witness of the profound changes that were implemented in the country, especially after the "Rose Revolution", when he visited Georgia. "I love Georgia and would continue its support," said McCain.
