Georgia, Tbilisi, Jul.22 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

The possible participation of U.S. observers in the EU mission in Georgia should be implemented step-by-step, Swedish Foreign Ministry Carl Bildt who is chairing at EU said, the Georgian TV reported.

The reports that the American and the Turkish military monitoring will participate in observation mission was spread on July 21, and this information was enthusiastically hailed in Tbilisi. It is not ruled out that, this will be the subject of discussions during U.S Vise-President Joe Biden's visit to Georgia.

A preliminary consultation on the U.S. military participation in the EU mission has begun. The participation of Turkish representatives is not ruled out.

According to Bildt, it is necessary to expand the EU mission for one year more in the first stage and then to enlarge the format.

Term of the EU mission in Georgia is running out in September and a bill on expanding the mission for one year more was submitted to the EU countries.
