Chairman of Azerbaijani Diaspora runs for Turkish Parliament

Head of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Circle (TAD) and head of the Turkish Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies (TURKSAM) Sinan Ogan (National Movement Party) from the Igdir region has been nominated for the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Head of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Circle (TAD) and head of the Turkish Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies (TURKSAM) Sinan Ogan (National Movement Party) from the Igdir region has been nominated for the Turkish Grand National Assembly. This decision suggests to the party that Azerbaijanis living in Igdir will vote for Sinan Ogan.

Sinan Ogan is Azerbaijani by birth. He was born in 1967 in Igdir. He graduated from the University of Marmara in 1989. Sinan Ogan worked as deputy dean at the Azerbaijan State Economic University from 1993 to 2000. In 2000 he returned to Turkey and started working at the Eurasian Center for Strategic Studies on the Caucasus region. He laid the foundation of TURKSAM - Turkish Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies in 2004. In 2009 Ogan received a doctor of philosophy degree in international relations and political science at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
Turkey's parliamentary elections will be held on June 12.
