Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.28 / Trend, T.Hajiyev /
Azerbaijani opposition Citizens and Development Party (CDP) Chairman Ali Aliyev has accused the so-called Public Chamber of lying.
"The CDP has no members in the Public Chamber. If it is so, let them to call their names and they will be immediately removed from the party," Aliyev said.
Addressing a hearing on criminal case of individuals detained during opposition's unauthorized rally on April 2, Public Chamber secretary Gulaga Aslanli said the Public Chamber also includes members of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, CDP and other parties.
However, Aliyev said, only one member of the CDP joined the Public Chamber, and he was removed from the party.
"Several other peoples also intended to join the Public Chamber, but later they changed their minds. The party has a decision not to join the Public Chamber, which is still in force," Aliyev stressed.
