Turkish government and the current regime of the country fulfilled all the requirements of the armed terrorist groups in order to achieve Syria's collapse, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad said in an exclusive interview with RT TV channel in Arabic - "Rusiya Al-Yaum".
"Turkey has played a major role in the collapse of Syria," al-Miqdad said.
He said in the course of recent events the Syrian authorities began receiving information that Turkey got directly involved in the conflict, sending Turkish militaries to support the armed terrorist groups. They stand behind terrorists and in proper time cross to the Turkish territory in order to hide their direct interference, he said.
Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for a year and half.
According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is nearing 30,000.
Over 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
