Addressing the OIC Summit, Ahmadinejad emphasized the common grounds, downplaying the differences among the Islamic Ummah, reports IRNA.
He called for respect for the Muslims right to decide their own fate and justice as the basic rights of any person and nation.
He underlined that war is not a proper way to meet basic rights of the nations.
He called on governments to provide people with their democratic rights to decide their own destines and respect the people's opinion.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he criticized people who insist on differences among Muslims saying they are not friends of human beings.
Ahmadinejad said that western governments have always been seeking to broaden their influence in the Middle East because of the rich resources of this region.
He added that in order to pass through the current critical situation, the people should pay attention to religion.
Islam is a global religion and belongs to all human beings, he said.
He said that liberation of Palestine is the common goal of the nations of the region and the world's independent governments and that the current critical situation in the world should not divert attention from Palestine.
