During the visit of Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec to Azerbaijan in October, the prospects of cooperation between the two counties in economic and humanitarian spheres will be discussed, Slovenian Consul to Azerbaijan Borut Megushar told Trend on Wednesday.
According to him, the visit of Slovenian Foreign Minister will take place at the invitation of the Azerbaijani side. The Foreign Minister will hold several meetings in Azerbaijan's foreign ministry, parliament and government during his visit.
The parties will also have an exchange of views on the issues of cooperation within the European Union.
"Relations between the two countries are at a very high level. However, we believe that there is an opportunity to further strengthen and deepen our cooperation and dialogue," the diplomat noted.
According to the data from the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the commodity turnover between Azerbaijan and Slovenia amounted to $5,134,370 during the first six months of 2013.
