Armenia must be held accountable for environmental pollution, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Twitter on the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict marked on Nov. 6, Trend reports.
Azerbaijan is committed to restoring natural habitats in its territories liberated from Armenian occupation [in the 2020 Second Karabakh War] and concerned because of the extensive damage caused by Armenia in the previously occupied territories, the ministry said.
"Armenia must be held accountable for poisoning living environment for both Armenian and Azerbaijani people in the region," added the ministry.
