ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 6. State-owned enterprises in Turkmenistan have boosted the manufacturing of food products from January through April this year, Trend reports.
As the official source reported, Tangryguly Atakhallyev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan claimed it at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He noted that during the specified period, the growth rate of production by the State Association of the Food Industry reached 13.6 percent, the State Association of the Livestock and Poultry Industry reached 25.6 percent, and the Turkmen Atlary State Association reached 1 percent.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman stressed that in the first 4 months of this year, the State Committee of Water Management increased production growth rate by 37.9 percent, the Turkmenpagta State Concern remained unchanged, the Turkmen Galla Onumleri State Association increased by 120.9 percent, and the Turkmenobahyzmat State Association increased by 7.4 percent.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan has placed significant emphasis on advancing its agro-industrial sector, with a primary focus on enhancing farming methods, improving efficiency, and securing food sovereignty.
Infrastructure upgrades, including irrigation systems and agricultural machinery, have received extensive investments. The adoption of cutting-edge farming techniques and technologies has resulted in a significant increase in agricultural productivity.
