ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 6. Gas consumption in Kazakhstan will increase to 23.225 million cubic meters in 2030, Trend reports, with reference to forecasts from the Ministry of Energy.
According to the Ministry, compared to the forecast for 2024 (20.946 million cubic meters), consumption will increase by 10.9 percent over 7 years.

Moreover, Kazakhstan plans to gradually increase raw natural gas production until 2030. Kazakhstan is projected to produce 90.725 million cubic meters of raw natural gas in 2024. This means 86.501 million cubic meters will come from existing fields and 4.223 million cubic meters from projected new projects.
Meanwhile, in 2023, gas production in Kazakhstan amounted to 59.063 billion cubic meters, including large fields such as Tengiz (16.009 billion cubic meters), Karachaganak (22.385 billion cubic meters), Kashagan (11.856 billion cubic meters), and others (8.813 billion cubic meters).
