BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Azerbaijan's
Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Deputy
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on February 20, 2025, the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend.
The Ministry noted that the meeting focused on important issues
related to the existing cooperation between the two countries and
the situation in the region.
During the discussions, both sides emphasized the importance of
maintaining positions based on the sovereignty, territorial
integrity, and inviolability of borders of the two nations, as well
as the fundamental principles of international law and mutual
respect that form the foundation of relations between the
countries.
The Ukrainian side expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan's
contributions to the recovery and reconstruction of the
conflict-affected regions in Ukraine, as well as the humanitarian
aid sent to the Ukrainian people.
The sides also exchanged views on other regional and global
issues of mutual interest.
Later that day, political consultations took place between the
above ministries, led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister Samir
Sharifov and Ukrainian Deputy Minister Oleksandr Miishenko.
