Discussion over the action plan between Azerbaijan and the European Union under the New Neighborhood Policy started in Baku on Monday, the head of the Press and Information Policy Department, Tahir Tagizade, told Trend.
Tagizade said that the consultations were set up by the head of the European Commission’s Office for East Europe South Caucasus and Central Asia Central, Yug Mingarelli, and the Azerbaijan Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev. Attending the opening were high-ranking officials of the EU. Tagizade said that an EU mission headed by Mingarelli will continue the talks in Baku by Friday.
Mammad-Guliyev will lead the Azerbaijani side in the talks.
