Azerbaijan attaches an importance to the development of the cooperation with NATO, Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azeri foreign minister, made such a statement on July 3 during the meeting with the deputy secretary general of NATO on social diplomacy Jane Furne.
The guest informed about the close cooperation of NATO social diplomacy department with Azerbaijan, the conducting of NATO week in Baku and opening of Euro-Atlantic information center.
Mammadyarov expressed his satisfaction with the high level of cooperation with NATO social diplomacy department. According to Mammadyarov, the development of the relations with Euro-Atlantic structures takes a priority in the foreign policy of Azerbaijan. It was stated that the main conditions for this are the stability in South Caucasus region, as well as implementation of global energy projects.
During the meeting it was highly assessed the creation of diplomatic academy under Azeri Foreign Ministry.
