Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 January / Trend corr. J.Babayeva/ Most Azerbaijani educational institutions, particularly institutes of higher education, will turn to individual financing systems beginning in 2009, Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, stated on 30 January.
"The Education and Finance Ministries have agreed on this issue," Mardanov said.
According to the Minister, fifty-nine schools in Ali-Bayramli, Ujar and Ismayilli regions have already begun utilizing this system.
"The first steps in this direction were successful, therefore the decision was made to turn all educational institutions in the Sabail District of Baku toward this system," the Minister said.
This decision was submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers. According to the Minister, utilizing this type of system enables the enhancement of educational quality and provides transparency in financing schools.
