The number of Internet users grows in Kyrgyzstan, CA-News reported on Monday. It hit 2.379 million in 2011, the State Communications Agency reported.
In 2009, Internet users were 1.141 million, in 2010 - 1.377 million.
Internet Access in the country is provided during the last 14 years. The Internet penetration in Kyrgyzstan reaches 39.8 percent, the International Telecommunications Union said.
The most part of Internet access points (around 72 percent) is concentrated in Bishkek. The number of Internet access points grew more than 1.9 times compared to 2005.
Internet access services were provided for 1.223 billion som in 2009, for 1.481 bilion som in 2010 and for 1.935 billion som in 2011.
