Turkish construction and industrial group intends to implement investment projects in Azerbaijan

Turkish construction and industrial group Yapı-Endüstri Merkezi plans to implement investment projects in Azerbaijan related to the 2015 European Olympic Games, Haberdar Newspaper reported on Tuesday, referencing the general director of the center, Bariş Onay.

Turkish construction and industrial group Yapı-Endüstri Merkezi plans to implement investment projects in Azerbaijan related to the 2015 European Olympic Games, Haberdar Newspaper reported on Tuesday, referencing the general director of the center, Bariş Onay.

Azerbaijan intends to use temporary facilities for holding various athletic competitions including beach volleyball. Competition in some sports will be held in the Baku Expo exhibition center, as well as in buildings located near the "Koroglu" metro station. The program is expected to include two non-Olympic sports, karate and dance-sport along with fighting, assorted water sports, etc.

"In Azerbaijan, Yapı-Endüstri Merkezi is planning to implement construction projects in preparation for the European Olympic Games, as well as conduct work related to the operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project." - Onay said.

Onay also noted that between April 24th and 28th of 2013, Istanbul will host the Construction Forum at which Azerbaijan will be introduced as a guest of honor. At this forum, a special seminar aimed at the convergence of the Azerbaijani and Turkish construction and industrial sectors will be dedicated to Azerbaijan.
