Turkish industrial production index continues to grow

Turkey's industrial production index (IPI) increased by 4.6 per cent in July 2013 reaching 110 points compared to the same month in 2012, the Turkish Statistics Institute said in a report posted on its website on Tuesday.

In July, the IPI increased by 0.9 per cent compared to the previous month.

InJuly 2013, the Turkish IPI in mining increased by 2.3 per cent. It increased in manufacturing industry by 6.2 per cent, in electricity generation and distribution by 1.6 per cent.

The highest index rate was observed in the energy sector. In July it increased by 10 per cent compared to the same period of 2012.
