Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), a leading European port and transport logistics company, intends to reorganize Polzug Intermodal in Georgia to develop a logistics service within the New Silk Road, Business Georgia reported citing the company.
Polzug Intermodal was transferred to HHLA and now operates under the name HHLA Project Logistics.
The company offers transportation solutions for delivery of cargo in the Caucasus region and adjacent regions of Central Asia, including Afghanistan. HHLA Project Logistics is headquartered in the Georgian port of Poti.
The company also has offices in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.
The New Silk Road Program, aka One Belt One Way, was announced by China in 2013 to establish new connections between China and the Eurasian continent.
